Refined Radiance

This home was designed with one clear priority in mind: to host well.

From the beginning, our client envisioned a lively, welcoming home where family and friends could gather easily and often. She has a deep love of color, particularly teals and fuchsias, and wanted those hues to move intentionally throughout the home rather than appear as isolated moments. Just as important, she and her family are passionate art collectors and wanted their existing pieces to feel integrated and elevated within the design, not layered on as an afterthought.

We approached the home as a continuous experience, allowing color, art, and energy to flow from space to space. Teal and fuchsia became connective threads, appearing in varying intensities through furnishings, textiles, and accents so the home felt cohesive while still dynamic. This layered approach allowed each room to carry its own personality while remaining in conversation with the rest of the home.

Hosting guided every major design decision. The entry was designed to set the tone immediately, offering a sense of arrival and anticipation. From there, we focused on creating openness and movement through the main living areas, ensuring the home could easily transition from intimate gatherings to large celebrations. Furniture layouts were selected to encourage conversation, while materials and finishes were chosen for both beauty and durability.

Art played a central role throughout the process. Many of the client’s existing pieces served as inspiration points, informing color placement and scale within each room. Rather than competing with the artwork, the design was crafted to support it, allowing each piece to feel intentional and well placed within its environment.

Private spaces were treated with the same level of thought. Bedrooms and baths continued the color story in a more restrained way, offering moments of calm while still reflecting the client’s vibrant personality. The result is a home that feels expressive yet balanced, energetic yet comfortable.

The finished design is a celebration of color, art, and connection. A home designed not just to be seen, but to be lived in, gathered in, and shared for years to come.
